The Curious Investor

Welcome to The Curious Investor, the blog where anyone can learn to invest in the stock market. While I am not an investment professional, I am highly interested in investing especially in the stock market and I truly believe that, with a little hard-work and some ingenuity, anyone can learn how to invest like a professional.

Ever since participating in a high school stock market simulation (and losing a whole lot of money I might add), I have found myself hooked on the idea of learning just how it is one can beat the market. My search for informational websites always seemed to lead me to websites that fell into one of three general categories: for-pay services claiming to teach you magical methods of exponentially multiplying your money, basic glossaries of investment definitions, and rather educational/informative investment sites that are often too advanced for a normal person to understand. And, that is why I’ve decided to start my own site on investing in the stock market.

My hope with this blog is to present the foundations of stock investing while also allowing you, the reader, to dive more deeply into the topics that you find interesting. Posts will (hopefully) be written every Monday, Wednesday and Friday and the days in between them will be devoted to discussion on the post through the blog comment system. So, please, do get involved and post whatever questions or insights you might have on each post. Together, we will work through the tools, tactics and strategies that can make anyone a winner on Wall Street.
